“Make a joyful noise”… you paint a joyful picture. I love our town, too, & the welcoming mood & flavor here…celebrate with pride - a rainbow of folks…you all - we all - together- bless our town. 🙏🏼🩷☮️🦚🌈
Wow, sounds wonderful! Sorry I missed it, but I rejoice in the humanity and diversity of it all! When Carl Sandburg was asked what was the most obscene word in the English language, he quickly replied: "Exclusive". I'm delighted that the parade reflected inclusivity; hooray for that!
As our SPC members rounded the corner of Church St. heading down German, I was blown away by the number of people lining the street. Brought hope to my spirit and a tear to my eye!
I could talk about the million plus people who come to watch the parade in my neighborhood on Chicago's Northside, where the issue is how you get one of the coveted spots for your group to march - with huge floats and a host of elected officials. (my favorite is Dykes on Bikes - dozens of lether clad women on enormous motorcycles). Yet I gain more hope from hearing that yet another small town has joined the parade! Proud
While the wonderful parade was happening, without a car I took to the web to answer questions in WV News regarding "Why Gays Needed a Parade." The Bible and "Sin" were spewed liberally. I believe I may have been partially successful. AI was a big help! YAY for the Parade!
Amen!! Celebrate Love. Celebrate all Humanity!!
Yay !

I'm slightly tardy on this one. Everyone has a place in my world. No exclusions. Onward!
